Dating Site Profiles – 4 Reasons Why Some Dating Profiles Are Ignored On Date Sites

You decided to join a date site. It may have been out of curiosity, prodding, a review, whatever the reason, but now you are there and you have filled out your profile. You think you did a decent job of it and are quite happy with yourself. But, you are beginning to wonder what on earth is going on. You haven’t received any messages, not even a wink. Why is this happening? You were told that date sites are the thing, that you can meet someone special here. So why is your profile being ignored?

No Photo On Your Dating Profile

This is an age old mistake that many people make on date sites. Take an adult dating site like AshleyMadison.com for instance. If you simply fill out a profile and consequently leave the photo space blank, your chances of getting messages are very slim. It’s understandable that you may feel uncertain about posting a photo on your profile or may not even know how, but this is something that you simply have to do. Statistically, you will get the most messages if you have a photo on your profile. If you are serious or even merely curious about this dating online thing, then you would do yourself a great service by posting a photo in your profile. If you do not, your profile will be ignored.

Profile Is Half Done

Yes, you would do yourself a disservice if you simply and lazily fill out a half completed profile. People can tell when you haven’t put any effort into writing a decent profile or filling out relevant information. When you simply state what you do for a living and that you like to hang out with friends and family on your profile, but give no further details about yourself, then your profile is half done. When you do not fill out the questionnaires, then your profile is half done. Date sites may be a route by which you are trying to communicate with people that you have never met, in the hope of  finding someone compatible, but those said people still want to have an idea of who you are. Take the time to fill out your profile, completely!

Angry Title Headline

Doing this on date sites is a huge mistake. You have been jilted in the past or you just got out of a bad relationship. In that breath, you decide to join one of the date sites and one of the first things you do is write an angry title header. Many people do this unconsciously simply because they are still caught up in the heated remnants of dissatisfaction that they experienced in a previous relationship. Do not do this! Do not write an angry title header like, “I only want real men,” or “Cheaters need not apply.” These kinds of angry title headers will guarantee that your profile will be ignored.

Lack Of Clarity

You have to be clear about what it is that you are looking for on date sites. When you write your profile, make sure that you give a good idea of the type of relationship that you are looking for. Quite often, people join date sites relatively unclear about what they want. Are they seeking a long term relationship, a pen pal, chat friend, intimate encounter or a date for the sake of dating? When you are not clear about that on your profile, your profile can easily be ignored because people won’t be sure about what it is that you want and may not want to put out the effort in messaging you.

These are 4 reasons why some profiles are ignored on date sites. They are truly very simple problems to remedy. Before you join a date site, be sure that you are ready to do what it takes in order to make your effort worthwhile. Be conscious in avoiding these mistakes and you will have a much better online dating experience.
