It’s Valentine’s Day and Debbie watches from her work cubicle as several of her female coworkers receive bouquets of roses and boxes of chocolate all around her.

She is wondering what her boyfriend of five months is going to send her and when.

Finally, at mid-day, she receives a text message on her cell phone from her boyfriend.

“Baby, I just wanted to wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day.”

She texts back. “Don’t I get any roses?”

He texts back, “Of course Baby. I just sent them.”

Debbie receives another text.

The text includes a picture of purple roses with an accompanying message. “Baby, these will never die on you, just like our undying love. Who says Romeo and Juliet was the greatest love story ever told? They haven’t heard our story yet. Happy Valentine’s Day.”

Debbie texts back. “And they will never hear our story if you don’t quit playing around and send me some real flowers.”
