What you say makes sense. His flirting, hugging, staring etc has been confusing me. He likes having lunch with me and buys me cake etc. He says I’m his best friend. People ask if we’re together! I sometimes feel bad for his girlfriend and I don’t think she’d be happy if she knew.
But I think you’re right, he just doesn’t want to see me with anyone else and has no intention to end his current relationship. He rarely invites me to things where she would be there too.
