Asking out a co-worker?

Over the weekend I started to have strong feelings for my new co-worker. I leave for college in the fall but I still might want to give it a shot. I have always been one to shy away from asking out anyone I know from something like school church or work. The current job is ending in 2 weeks but there is a possibility she will be working with me during the summer. Should I try to get to know her more or just go for it?
