Bf not talking to me after argument

My Bf and I didn’t have a fight but he was supposed to come see me sunday evening and that plan fell through last minute because he went to a friend’s pre wedding party which he also committed to. His friend wouldn’t let him leave from the party. my bf lives 1.5 hours away from me. so I became really upset when he said his friend is mad that he wants to leave to see his gf (me). So i lost it on him but he didnt reply to my msgs. He didnt say he can’t make it, he didn’t answer my fone call. basically no response. Since sunday night he hasn’t reached out to me yet. I feel like he shud have reached out by now since it was his fault for ruining our plans. also i wanted him to be there for me cuz my cousin died around that same time. i didnt say it to him but i felt like it was common sense. maybe thats what made me lose my emotional control idk. So basically its been 3 days and he hasn’t called or msged me and i haven’t msged or called either since sunday night. I dont know what to think or what to do. Can you please tell me why he would not be reaching out yet or if hes expecting me to reach out?

Hi Asma,

Your boyfriend may not be reaching out yet because he may be worried that if he were to do so at this point in time, you will scold him for not coming to see you on Sunday evening.

Being that you lost it emotionally when he chose to stay at his friend’s pre-wedding party instead of coming to see you, he may be waiting for you to level off emotionally.

He isn’t necessarily expecting you to reach out. He is just waiting things out in the hopes that at the point that he decides to reestablish contact with you, you will no longer be so upset with him.
