Does no texting means no interest ? Or insecurity?

Why would guy show interest for a long period of time in real life (all the signs are there but no verbal confession), and after the context is over (language class) and we have each other numbers i was the only one initiating contact for 3 times (answers right away,the feedback is good but the conversations doesn t last and he doesn t show that thirsty interest he did before nor initiate it again).
Ps : we re both 26 yo, he is extroverted but bit shy with girls.i am an extro introverted but apprntlt shy with females. I did not express n any way my interest durinf that perios espclly when he was trying tk know me more (i have a cold attitude with pple i m not close with). The only thing that i did,2 or 3 times,is staring back at him whwn i caught him staring but he looks away straight or nearby amd never look back right away nor react to it (pretending wasn t looking).
I am confused if he is insecure or hesitant or he has moved on after few days. I need to know if i should move on or try to fix things.
