I am a 27 year old female who is online dating having come from an 8 year relationship. I have noticed a lot of the bios I see have the person’s Snapchat contact information.
It’s been a while since I used Snapchat. Even back then, I didn’t use it on a regular basis.
Am I wrong in thinking that it is immature to be including your Snapchat information on your bio? Why would a person be okay with any random individual who sees their bio having the ability to contact them?

Yes, it is a red flag when you see someone’s Snapchat contact information, or any other contact information for that matter, in their bio.
This is often a way for scammers or people with selfish intentions to isolate you by moving the conversation away from the dating site to a different medium.
It makes it easier for them to control how the interaction goes. Without the distractions of a dating site, it is much easier to manipulate someone.
