Why am i suddenly in love with her after not speaking for months?

I used to like my friend a bit. We havent spoken for months. Recently, these past few days i havent been able to stop thinking about and obsessing over her and its driving me crazy. This all started when i saw a picture of her, i felt a longing and its been three days what is happening

You already liked her to begin with. Now that it has been months since you spoke to her, it can be quite easy to forget the reason why you stopped speaking to her in the first place.
