The G-Spot is named after famed German gynecologist, Ernst Grafenberg, who did a lot of research in the 1940s on urethral stimulation. The phrase itself became popular in 1982 when sex researcher, Beverly Whipple released the fairly controversial book, The G-Spot and Other Recent Discoveries About Human Sexuality.
There has been a fair amount of research done into the existence of the G-Spot. One such research was done by the University of L’Aquila in Italy and reported in The Journal of Sexual Medicine in 2008. Through the use of ultrasonography on various women, researchers at the University of L’Aquila discovered that the women who were able to experience orgasm had a spongier or thicker tissue within the anterior wall of their vaginas. Another study performed by French researchers Odile Buisson and Pierre Foldes in 2009 reenforced this finding. By using ultrasound to observe their female test subjects while they were having intercourse, it was discovered that there were elaborate physiological changes that were occurring within the vaginal wall.
The G-Spot is located between the vaginal opening and the urethra. It is about 1-3 inches within the anterior or upper wall of the vagina and is shaped like a bean or button. Even though it is surrounded by body tissue, due to it’s unique shape, it’s easy to tell it from the rest.
Before You Begin
Because this area is a highly sensitive and erogenous zone that is in close proximity to the urethra and the bladder, you should have your partner urinate before you start. Various studies have shown that upon stimulation of this area some women may feel the need to urinate. Hence, in order to avoid any unwanted accidents, ensure that your partner clears her bladder first.
There are two highly effective positions in finding and stimulating the G-Spot. The first is to have her lay down on her back and place a pillow beneath the base or the small of her back. This props her pelvic area up at an angle that will help you find her G-Spot easily. The second is from the rear in the doggy style fashion. She gets on her knees and angles the rest of her body downward so that her upper body is resting on her elbows. This puts the lower half of her body at an upward angle which enables you to find and stimulate her G-Spot a lot easier.
How to Find It
Place your index and middle finger together side by side. Slip them into the upper wall of her vagina. Keep them within the first 1 to 3 inches and move them around a little. At some point you should feel some distinct tissue that is spongy or thick in nature. This tissue is naturally full of nerve endings and blood vessels. It’s her G-Spot.
How to Stimulate It
You will want to start applying some pressure to this area. There are two ways that you can use your fingers to do this. The first is by moving your index and middle fingers in a corkscrew pattern. In other words, instead of pushing them back and forth, you want to move them in a circular motion, similar to the pattern of windshield wiper blades. The second is to crook your index and middle fingers and move them to and fro in that pattern. The best way to envision this is to imagine how you motion your fingers when you are telling someone to “come here.” Move them on the G-Spot in that same pattern. These fingering methods apply pressure on the G-Spot. Since the G-Spot is full of blood vessels and nerve endings, it will naturally begin to swell and engorge. At this point, she is becoming incredibly stimulated and may climax at any moment.
How to Enhance Her Orgasm
Even though the G-Spot is a highly erogenous zone, there are other erogenous zones in close proximity. While applying constant pressure to her G-Spot, you can also rub your thumb over her clitoris repeatedly. The combination of these two motions will easily drive her to a powerful orgasm that may even result in female ejaculation.
Even if you don’t succeed the first time around, try again often. Your efforts will eventually be rewarded and she will bestow praises on you for your sexual prowess. Which guy wouldn’t be proud of that?
